LITA was how Lynn & I became friends in 2022. She was up for creating a resident's patio garden with me at Bayberry Post Acute Care in Concord. As director of Lita of Contra Costa, I was able to use funds from a grant from Share The Spirit and for three years we gardened together. Resident participants came and went, as did Activity Directors, but Lynn and her friend and A D Assistant Grets Rnqllo and I were the constants.
I retired in January of 2025 and now I am a LITA volunteer. Lynn's mobility improved and she moved to Todos Santos Assisted Living, where I now visit her two Thursday afternoons a month. We decided that the other two Thursdays, Lynn would book transport to Bayberry and we'd meet there and work together in that garden this spring, funds or no funds. Friedship is everything and LOVE IS THE ANSWER Www.litaofcontracosta.org
