Poquoson's Lucas Hatok Drives In 4 Runners In Post 273 Seniors 19U's Victory Over Post 284 Buccaneers
Lucas Hatok drove in four runs on two hits to lead Post 273 Seniors past Post 284 Buccaneers 16-0 on Sunday. Hatok doubled in the third inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the fourth inning, scoring one.
Post 273 won thanks in part to nine runs in the third inning. Devin Gray grounded out, scoring two runs, Cooper Bush drew a walk, scoring one run, Cameron Eicher drew a walk, scoring one run, Hatok doubled, scoring three runs, Joey Chwalik drew a walk, scoring one run, and Gray drew a walk, scoring one run.
Post 273 got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Bush walked, Eicher singled down the right field line, Noah Rivera grounded into a fielder's choice, and Chwalik was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.
Post 273 added one run in the second. Ashton Green singled to left field, making the score 5-0.
Eicher stepped on the mound first for Post 273. The 6' 5" hurler allowed six hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out nine and walking none. James Luck started on the bump for Post 284 Buccaneers. The right-handed pitcher surrendered three hits and five runs over two innings, striking out one and walking four. Green pitched one inning of scoreless ball for Post 273 in relief. The hurler allowed zero hits, striking out one and walking two.
Hatok and Connor Lamb each collected two hits for Post 273. Post 273 had a strong eye at the plate, collecting 16 walks for the game. Chwalik, Bush, Eicher, Benjamin Bly, Gray, Lamb, and Green led the team with two bases on balls each. Rivera, Gray, and Green each stole multiple bases for Post 273. Post 273 stole seven bases in the game.
Grant Williams led Post 284 Buccaneers with two hits in three at bats.
