🚨 Scholarship Opportunity 🚨

The Kiwanis Club of Poquoson is pleased to offer one $1,000 scholarship to a student between the ages of 13-19 at Poquoson High School AND one $1,000 scholarship to a student between the ages of 13-19 at Tabb High School.

Each year the Capital District of Kiwanis selects one Teenager of the Year in the entire Capital District. The competition begins at the club level, then our club forwards one name to the Division level. If the student wins at the division level, they then compete at the Capital District.

Our club competition brings a $1,000 scholarship to the winner. The Division winner usually receives an additional $1,000 scholarship, and if the student wins the Capital District, they receive another $2500 scholarship!

Kiwanis is an international organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The purpose of this award is to give recognition to deserving teenagers for their service to their school and community, citizenship, leadership performance, character and academic achievements.

Applications are submitted electronically and are due NLT than 5pm on January 31, 2025. Students can submit the applications at this link - https://k03.site.kiwanis.org/teenager-of-the-year/
