York Odd Fellows Lodge #89

It was our honor to participate in this year's Poquoson Christmas parade! We loved the kick that our Girl Scout Troop got out of riding on our float and interacting with the crowds on the street. Every time one of these young ladies saw a friend from church or school, their faces just lit up!

This was a pretty big effort combining two other lodges out of the area. We were fortunate enough to be able to team with Brookneal Lodge 267 and Chester Lodge 281 and tag team for three separate Christmas parades in 11 days!

It was a lot of work with a tremendous amount of payoff, not only for York Odd Fellows #89 but for all others involved. We look forward to doing this parade again next year and many other events in the community to come.

Several of us from Poquoson (York Lodge #89) were able to join Monticello lodge and many others for their end-of-year banquet. After, brother Nick S. Curry and I toured Monticello lodge in Charlottesville. Fantastic people, charity and history in one night!

Last night we were very proud to present 2 checks from the York Odd Fellows & Rebekah's. The Poquoson Museum now has a little more help keeping afloat. If you are in the area, please stop by and visit them AND us.
