Join the 4-H Livestock, Horse and Pet (LEP) is hosting a livestock showmanship clinic at the fairgrounds (700 E Ash St, Mason, MI) on June 9th.

The workshop starts at 5:30 and will include sheep, swine, poultry, rabbits, goats, dairy market and beef. A light meal will be served compliments of Ingham County Farm Bureau.

Fair exhibitor registration closes tonight at 11:59 PM. After today, a $50 late fee will apply.

Before you hit submit, take a few minutes to review your entries and make sure all required fees have been paid, including horse fees and any other applicable department fees listed in the Fair Book.

Whether you're showing livestock, entering creative arts, exhibiting projects, or participating in horse events, don't miss your chance to be part of the 2026 Oakland County Fair.

Grab your dog and your sense of adventure! Join us for a fun, outdoor Dog Orienteering event at Orion Oaks County Park on May 31st from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM.

📍 Meet at the pavilion
🕥 10:30 AM – Quick intro to orienteering + how it works
🗺️ 11:00 AM – Register, pick up maps, and hit the course
👥 Open to 4-H youth and adults
🐕 Participate individually or as a group
🦮 Dogs welcome (must remain on leash during the event)

No experience needed—just come ready to explore, learn something new, and have lots of fun with your dog!

🎓 Senior Spotlight: John B. 🌟

John has been an active member of Oakland County 4-H for 12 years, participating in the Oakland County Sport Rocket Club. Throughout his 4-H journey, he has also taken part in the Oakland County Fair, Discovery Days, and 4-H horse shows.

As club president, John developed strong leadership skills while guiding and supporting fellow members. His experiences in 4-H have also taught him the importance of personal growth and civic responsibility through community service and volunteering.

John strengthened his problem-solving abilities through hands-on projects such as building rockets and working on LEGO-based engineering challenges. In addition, he has taken on the important role of mentoring younger youth in his club, serving as a positive role model and helping others learn and grow.

We are proud of all John has accomplished through 4-H and wish him continued success in the future. Congratulations, John! 🍀👏

🎓 Senior Spotlight: Mea C. 🌟

Mea has been an active member of 4-H for 5 years, participating in both the Mane Connection and Oakland County Livestock Club. Through her involvement, she has gained valuable hands-on experiences and built lasting connections within her 4-H community.

Throughout her 4-H journey, Mea has developed important life skills, especially responsibility and determination. These skills have helped her grow in confidence and commitment as she works toward her goals and takes on new challenges.

We are proud of all that Mea has accomplished through 4-H and look forward to seeing all she will achieve in the future. Congratulations, Mea! 🍀👏

We’ve got a jam-packed day of fun just for kids — and their favorite grown-ups! Join us for a hands-on Strawberry Preservation Workshop at beautiful Tollgate Farm & Education Center, in partnership with Oakland County 4-H!
🌟 What’s in store?
🫙 Learn how to make delicious strawberry freezer jam — and take it home!
🌱 Visit the strawberry patch and learn how to grow your own juicy berries
📅 When: June 14th | 12–2 PM

• Kids ages 8–13 with an adult
