Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Summer Picnic this year. Good food and good fun for all. Festivities included kids challenging members to races, scoring flips off of the diving board and sunbathing before the rain found us. Thank you to MISSION BBQ for the good food as always and thank you to the Poland Swim and Tennis Club for hosting us!

The Poland Fireman’s Association is doing a raffle!! We have 5 prizes and 750 tickets. We will be pulling winners on Facebook live and as soon as all tickets are sold will be drawing them. Prizes will be selected in order of tickets drawn meaning if you are the first ticket, you get the option of one of the prizes of your choosing!

With that being said tickets are $10 each and can be bought from your favorite Poland firefighter or message this page! Cash or Venmo!

*all prizes are from fin feather fur
*must be 21 years old or over to purchase
*if you win you will go up to fin feather fur and they will give you a gift card in the purchase amount of your prize(meaning if you want a different item from them you can use that gift card for that instead of your prize)

Today we remember the men in women in uniform who gave their lives to protect the freedoms that we have. Today we also held a small memorial service to honor the members who are no longer with us, especially Bob Ula, who we lost earlier this year to cancer. Service started off with a wonderful sermon by Pastor Dave Allman from New Life Church, followed by a great tribute to Bob Ula by Assistant Chief John Walsh and closing words from Chief Comstock. Thank you to those who joined us for our first memorial service and we look forward to having a yearly tribute to members who came before us.

We will be having a small memorial service on Monday, May 26th at approximately 12:30pm at the Firefighter Memorial to honor members who are no longer with us.

Recently our association approved the revitalization of our Firefighter Memorial by the Village Green near Poland Presbyterian Church. A big thank you to Tabors Landscaping & Garden Center, Inc. for their work on this project and helping us pay our respects to the men and women who came before us.

This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and the Association is expressing our deep appreciation to our dispatchers at Austintown 911 by providing fresh meals for each shift today. These dedicated men and women behind the phones and radios are essential in emergency services. It takes a special person to bring calm to the chaos in order to gather the information needed to ensure that the appropriate crews get to where they are needed. Thank you, Austintown 911, for providing exceptional support and keeping our community and association members safe!

Thanks to everyone who came out to our event today!

Families enjoyed pancakes, sausage and hash browns for breakfast. Additionally, kids got the chance to make reindeer food and meet some Christmas favorites like the Grinch and of course Santa Claus hi
