Refractive errors can be easily corrected with eyeglasses, yet millions living in low- and middle-income countries lack access to basic eye care services. Lions have recognized the urgent need for corrective lenses and collect usable glasses in their communities to support eyeglass recycling.

OUR INSPIRATION
LIONS -- KNIGHTS OF THE BLIND--HELEN KELLER(1880-1968)
Deaf and blind from an early age, HELEN KELLER emerged as an outspoken activist, championing vision care for much of her life. In 1925, Helen Keller boldly called upon Lions to serve as Knights of the Blind — and Lions answered the call. Today, her influence still resonates loudly, as Lions continue to expand their vision service all over the world.

EXPANDING OUR 2026 VISION

The residents of Utah County in Utah have enthusiastically responded to our RECYCLING FOR SIGHT project. In November our collection efforts culminated by delivering 2,000 previously collected glasses to district volunteers who will clean, read, bag, and label the glasses for Multi District 28 's next international humanitarian trip. We encourage your continued used eye glass donations to a global cause of the Lions International Organization improving the lives of the visually impaired and preventing avoidable blindness
Thank you for donating your used eyeglasses at CopyTec Printers, PG Library Lobby, and Walmart Optical Shops.

A giant shout-out of THANKS to our Pleasant Grove community for donations to United Way’s, “Welcome Baby” 2025 Community BabyShower. Every year donations have increased. There were over 170 donations in November. This demonstrates your generous desire to lift and help others throughout the county.
We express gratitude to Mayor Guy Fugal for his support in our service efforts; to the library staff for allowing us to use the library lobby; and to Lisa Flinders for her tireless efforts in organizing the city newsletter.
Pleasant Grove Lions Club wishes the community a happy holiday season through the gift of kindness and service to each other.
