The Platteville Pioneer Museum will have a late opening on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026. The Volunteers will be attending the Veterans Memorial Service at Mizpah Cemetery which begins at 11:30 a.m. We hope you come by the museum after the service to learn more about our local veterans. We will open at 12:30 p.m. Thank you!

Do you need a card? Do you need a gift? We have some items you might be interested in to purchase. All items were especially made, or donated. This is our way to help our community, and to support our little museum. All proceeds go to the museum. Come in on Mondays, Wednesdays from 10-3, and Saturdays from 10 -2.

A few of the volunteers have been going through scrapbooks from Valley High School’s FHA (Future Homemakers of America) and we have found some interesting snippets of school memories. We hope you will find them as interesting as we have! Please come in and we can bring some of these up for you to see and read!

A HUGE Thank You to Platteville Public Works who showed up today and moved a couple of bookshelves for us. It took a lot of thought and muscle to move this from the front room to the storage basement. Well done, guys!!!

The Platteville Pioneer Museum will be closed on Wednesday, December 24th to give our volunteers time to spend with their families and to prepare for the big day! We will be open again on Saturday.

Wednesdays 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Saturdays 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
