The Garland Grand Hotel is opening its doors for one night only. Check in if you dare! 🕯️

On Saturday, October 24th, step inside for an adults-only evening of costumes, cocktails, dancing, raffles, an auction and a few haunting surprises, all in support of No More Umbrellas. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks are included, and the night runs from 6–11 PM at Music Ranch in Lakeland. This event is 21+.

Come as a guest, bring a date, or make your mark as one of this year’s event sponsors. From the Penthouse Suite to the Grand Ballroom, Wh***ey Lounge, Bellhop, Room Key and Guestbook, there are several ways for local businesses and supporters to be part of the night.

We’re excited to officially launch Joy All Year, our monthly giving initiative designed to make supporting No More Umbrellas simple, consistent and meaningful.

A monthly gift helps us continue showing up for Central Florida children facing cancer and life-threatening blood disorders and the families beside them, not just during one campaign or event, but throughout the year.

That support helps fuel the work you see across NMU, from hardship assistance and gift card support to toys, activities, Family Dinners and the moments that bring a little more normalcy and joy during incredibly difficult seasons.

$10. $25. $50. Whatever feels right. A recurring gift means dependable support we can count on month after month.

Featured on Propagation Wh***ey Bar & Kitchen’s current seasonal cocktail menu, the Rainbow Revival is made with our NMU x Rare Character Single Barrel Bourbon and layered with strawberry, lemon, blackberry and flavors inspired by some of Morgan’s favorites.

During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, it feels especially fitting to raise a glass to the story and meaning behind this pour. If you haven’t tried the Rainbow Revival yet, make it part of your weekend!

Last night, City of Plant City Government officially proclaimed September 2026 as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

We’re incredibly grateful to Mayor Kilton and the Plant City Commission for recognizing the children and families facing childhood cancer and the importance of continuing to show up for them.

In 2019, Morgan stood with the City as September was proclaimed Childhood Cancer Awareness Month then, too. Seven years later, that photo makes this moment feel especially full circle. What began as a way to honor Morgan continues through every family supported and every moment of joy we’re able to help create. 💛🌈

For Taylor and Jake Smith, monthly giving is about making sure families facing childhood cancer and serious illness never feel like they have to carry it all alone. Their monthly gift becomes part of something bigger. It helps provide financial relief, gift cards, family support, special moments and the programs No More Umbrellas is able to offer throughout the year.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and for No More Umbrellas, this month holds special significance. It is a time to raise awareness, honor the children and families affected by childhood cancer, and remind our community that care and compassion matter long after a diagnosis.

No More Umbrellas was founded in memory of Morgan Pierce and continues her legacy by supporting Central Florida children with cancer and their families through hardship assistance, meaningful experiences, toys, activities and community care.

This month, we hope you’ll take a moment to learn, share, give and get involved. 💛

Thanks to an incredible community of donors, businesses and supporters, we collected and delivered more than 2,000 toys to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, Tampa General Hospital and South Florida Baptist Hospital.

A special shoutout to qgsdevelopment, our top toy collector this year! And thank you to everyone who filled a box, dropped off a toy or helped make this drive possible.

The Good Old Fashioned Toy Drive returns this December, but there’s plenty of good to do before then. From Joy All Year monthly giving to our signature Halloween Party, the months ahead are full of ways to support the families we serve.

As we head into September and Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, our work continues. Stay close. There’s a lot ahead! 💛

We’re so grateful for the Krewe of Shamrock - Tampa’s Original Kilted Krewe! This year, they’ve supported No More Umbrellas with a generous donation, countless volunteer hours, and a willingness to always lend a hand. That kind of support means so much. Thank you for giving your time and heart to NMU! ☘️

A huge thank you to Eric Langston & April Wilkinson Langston for expanding their impact as volunteers by sponsoring and serving last week’s Family Dinner through Tampa Sheds of Plant City (Langston’s). We’re also incredibly grateful to Johnson Barbeque for providing an amazing BBQ feast for the families we serve.

Together, we welcomed around 20 pediatric cancer patients and their families at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital for a delicious meal of BBQ pork, chicken, brisket, mac & cheese, baked beans, green beans, rolls, and cookies. We also brought some Christmas in July fun with toys and activities for the kids.
