No More Umbrellas gives financial support and resources to Central Florida youth enduring hardship.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and for No More Umbrellas, this month holds special significance. It is a time to raise awareness, honor the children and families affected by childhood cancer, and remind our community that care and compassion matter long after a diagnosis.

No More Umbrellas was founded in memory of Morgan Pierce and continues her legacy by supporting Central Florida children with cancer and their families through hardship assistance, meaningful experiences, toys, activities and community care.

This month, we hope you’ll take a moment to learn, share, give and get involved. 💛

Thanks to an incredible community of donors, businesses and supporters, we collected and delivered more than 2,000 toys to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, Tampa General Hospital and South Florida Baptist Hospital.

A special shoutout to qgsdevelopment, our top toy collector this year! And thank you to everyone who filled a box, dropped off a toy or helped make this drive possible.

The Good Old Fashioned Toy Drive returns this December, but there’s plenty of good to do before then. From Joy All Year monthly giving to our signature Halloween Party, the months ahead are full of ways to support the families we serve.

As we head into September and Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, our work continues. Stay close. There’s a lot ahead! 💛

We’re so grateful for the Krewe of Shamrock - Tampa’s Original Kilted Krewe! This year, they’ve supported No More Umbrellas with a generous donation, countless volunteer hours, and a willingness to always lend a hand. That kind of support means so much. A huge thank you to Eric Langston & April Wilkinson Langston for expanding their impact as volunteers by sponsoring and serving last week’s Family Dinner through Tampa Sheds of Plant City (Langston’s). We’re also incredibly grateful to Johnson Barbeque for providing an amazing BBQ feast for the families we serve.

Together, we welcomed around 20 pediatric cancer patients and their families at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital for a delicious meal of BBQ pork, chicken, brisket, mac & cheese, baked beans, green beans, rolls, and cookies. We also brought some Christmas in July fun with toys and activities for the kids.

Some moments are about so much more than the game! ⚾️

Last month, thanks to the generosity of Ms. Kat at Propagation Whiskey Bar & Kitchen, the Bonet-Marrone family spent the day cheering on Tampa Bay Rays together. Sebastian, who has been affected by childhood cancer, even got to take home the game ball, making an already special day even more unforgettable.

Thank you Ms. Kat for giving this amazing family memories they’ll never forget. It’s kindness like this that makes all the difference. 💛
