VISION: To be a thriving independent Foundation that builds partnerships to secure financial support, advocacy and promotion of Hillsborough County 4-H Youth Development.
MISSION: To develop financial resources to support Hillsborough County 4-H Youth Development by establishing an endowment of $100,000 for future support of 4-H and to provide budgeted funding for current organizational needs to assist 4-H members and clubs in achieving their maximum potential.
We believe in the value of the 4-H Youth programs in our community and strive to make the best better.
We value active participation and volunteer efforts by our Foundation Board.
We believe in cultivating positive relationships and partnerships and seek to manage the Foundation with complete integrity and oversight.
We seek to grow the Foundation with additional members who share the same core values and wish to see a thriving 4-H club program in Hillsborough County in accordance with our policy of inclusion and representation.
4-H Foundation Organizational Responsibilities
The Foundation works in co-operation with, but independent of 4-H and Extension faculty and other 4-H Advisory Groups.
The Foundation is responsible for establishing and managing the endowment fund to supplement the funding of the 4-H programs and to enhance the leadership opportunities for volunteers and youth now and in the future.
Major responsibilities of the 4-H Foundation include, but not limited to:
a. Fund-raising
b. Protecting, managing, and growing the 4-H Endowment.
c. Auditing existing funds and providing oversight and transparency.
d. Overseeing the allocation and the dispersal of funds.
e. Providing financial assistance to 4-H members and clubs through\scholarships & grants.
f. Sponsor the Annual 4-H Awards Banquet for 4-H Members, Leaders, and Families.
g. Manage the 4-H Memorial Scholarship Fund & to award Annual scholarships.
h. Provide volunteer assistance to 4-H Staff when requested.
i. Conduct outreach in support of local 4-H programs.
