Happy Halloween! All treats, no stage fright! 🎃🎤👻 Our Halloween Kid Karaoke brought out the costumes, the confidence, and some seriously spirited performances!

We loved watching these kiddos grab the mic, cheer each other on, and let their personalities shine. That’s what Spotlight is all about—Creativity, Confidence & Community!

10/28/2026

A little peek inside rehearsal, where our students are putting the moves together and bringing their characters to life. We love watching both casts make the story their own!

Come see their hard work shine in Mary Poppins Jr. on December 12 at Plant City High School!

AI could never.

It can’t help a shy kid find their voice. It can’t turn first-day nerves into stage presence, or see a child’s potential before they see it in themselves.

But our community can — and they do, every single rehearsal.

This is what Spotlight is: confidence, courage, friendship, and memories that last forever. All volunteer-run, right here in Plant City.

Come see it live and in action — Mary Poppins Jr. opens December 12, and ticket prices go up November 1! Link in bio.

A spoonful of sweetness, a room full of smiles, and a practically perfect day!

Here’s a little peek at our Practically Perfect Tea Party! Our students brought the world of Mary Poppins to life with songs, laughter, and special moments with our guests.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and cheered on our performers. Every ticket helped support the costumes, props, and sets for our upcoming production—and every smiling face reminded us why we do this.

SCRIPT DAY!

Our Elementary Theatre 101 stars just got their hands on *The Friendship Spell* — an original class collaboration — and the excitement is REAL. First read-throughs, first character choices, first steps toward the stage!

There’s nothing like watching a kid fall in love with their very first script. Who remembers theirs?

What a day. ☂️

Three seatings, one practically perfect Saturday — and together we raised nearly $1,000 to support our students and bring the world of Cherry Tree Lane to life!

Thank you to our students, parents, volunteers, attendees, and donors. You set the tables, poured the tea, filled every seat, and gave so generously. Every dollar keeps our costumes sewn, our sets built, and our doors open — and gives Mary Poppins Jr. (opening December 12!) the best possible start.

More photos coming — tag us in yours!

Help us bring Mary Poppins Jr. to life!

Spotlight Children’s Theatre is gathering a crew of parents, community members, and local businesses to help make the magic happen for our December production!

Join us for a Community Volunteer Meeting:
📅 Sunday, November 1
🕑 2–3 PM
📍 Spotlight Studio in downtown Plant City

We’ll share our plans, talk through what’s needed, and find ways for everyone to get involved. We’re looking for help with:

🎨 Building and painting sets
🧵 Costumes, sewing, and alterations
🎭 Backstage support during performances
🛠️ Transporting and setting up the set for dress rehearsal
📦 Taking down and loading the set after the show
🍕 Providing or sponsoring student meals for dress rehearsal and show day

Our set-building and painting weekend is November 14–15, with location and work times to follow.

Whether you can offer a few hours, a useful skill, supplies, a business connection, or help coordinating a team, we would love to have you involved. No theatre experience is required—there are plenty of ways to lend a hand!

Interested? Please message Spotlight with the area you’d like to help with and let us know whether you can attend the meeting. Can’t make it on November 1? You can still be part of the crew!

Thank you for helping our students experience creativity, confidence, and community. ❤️
