🎭Break a leg, Rosie! 🎭

Our very own Rosie is heading to the International Thespian Festival in Indiana alongside our Assistant Director, Ms. Emily!

After earning Top Honors at District Festival and Superior Ratings at the State Festival for her incredible Hadestown Set Design, Rosie is ready to take her creativity to the national stage.

We couldn’t be more proud of her hard work, talent, and dedication. Now it’s time to raise the curtain on this next adventure!

Wishing you full houses, standing ovations, and all the magic the stage can hold. Go shine, Rosie—we’ll be cheering for you from Spotlight every step of the way!

Oh, the places they’ll go!

What an incredible week of creativity, confidence, and community at our Elementary Summer Theatre Camp! These talented young performers brought Seussical to life with colorful characters, big imaginations, and lots of heart.

We are so proud of the hard work, bravery, and growth we saw from every student this week. From theatre games and rehearsals to their final performance, these campers reminded us that anything is possible when you believe in yourself and support one another.

📣Fall registration is officially OPEN at Spotlight Children’s Theatre!

We can’t wait to welcome both returning and new students for a semester filled with creativity, confidence, community, and of course… a little bit of theatre magic!

Our Fall Schedule includes traditional Performance Classes: 🍎 Elementary Theatre (K–5) & Middle/High Theatre (6-12)
☂️ Returning elementary students and all middle and high school students will take the stage together in Disney’s Mary Poppins Jr.

New ITS Program: 🏆The International Thespian Society offers competition opportunities at the district, state, and international level for students in 6-12 grades. Must be a student without an active ITS program at their school.

New Elementary and Middle Theatre 101 Classes:
⭐️Theatre 101 students learn the basics of theatre and perform in a showcase including improv, musical, monologues and tech projects!

🏠 Homeschool and evening classes available
💳 Payment plans available
🎓 Scholarships available
✅ Step Up for Students / EMA accepted

Every student who walks through our doors has a story.

Some are finding their confidence. Some are finding their voice. Some are stepping onto a stage for the very first time. Some are looking for a place to belong.

At Spotlight, we know theatre is about more than rehearsals and performances. It’s about creating a space where every student is welcomed, valued, encouraged, and given the opportunity to grow.

No matter where their story begins, there’s a place for them here. ❤️🎭

HCPS continues to offer free meals to children and teens this summer. Meals are available at more than 150 sites across the county.

All meals are free for any child 18 years and younger, regardless of enrollment status. Weekly meal boxes are also available at the South County Career Center from June 3 to July 22. These boxes include seven days of breakfast and lunch plus a gallon of milk.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS! 🚨

Thanks to a generous donor, Spotlight Children’s Theatre has received funding for TWO Middle School Summer Camp Scholarships! 🎭✨

These scholarships will cover tuition for our Middle School Summer Camp, June 22–26.

To be eligible, students must:
⭐ Be ages 10–14 or entering grades 5–9
⭐ Live within 15 miles of Plant City
⭐ Submit a scholarship application by Monday, June 15

Registration is now OPEN for both our Summer Camps and Fall Semester classes!

⛺️Elementary Summer Camp begins June 15 — SOLD OUT!
☀️Middle School Summer Camp begins June 22 — spots are still available!

Please note that Spotlight will be closed the week before camps and the week leading up to July 4th for a summer break.

We can’t wait to spend another season building creativity, confidence, and community with all of you!
