This fall, MAT is sending a team back to Israel with a simple desire: to carry hope, healing, and the presence of Jesus to the people and communities the Lord has placed before us.
 
As we prepare to go, we’re inviting you to come alongside us.

We’re heading back to the streets.
 
Next month, MAT is kicking off our Mobile Clinic outreaches again at SoupMobile, and we’d love for you to serve with us.
 
Join us on Sunday, September 6th as we come alongside our unhoused neighbors with compassionate care, prayer, dignity, and the presence of Jesus.

A first for MAT
 
Last weekend, we had the privilege of hosting our very first Vision Clinic in partnership with Upperroom Dallas during their Back to School community outreach at the Belleview Apartments in Dallas.
 
In just two hours, our team served 32 patients through vision screenings and optometry care, and covered them in prayer.
 
What a gift it was to meet families right where they are, provide practical care, and come alongside Upperroom in loving this community well.
 
We’re so grateful for Dr. Wike and his family and our volunteers who served, every family who trusted us with their care, and every opportunity the Lord gave us to bring dignity, compassion, and His presence into the neighborhood.
 
What a beautiful beginning.

For our final testimony this week, Zack, Corey, and Axel share about a powerful encounter with a man named Javier.
 
He came carrying shoulder pain but as he encountered the presence of God, something deeper began to surface.
 
In that place of safety, he felt able to share burdens he had been carrying for a long time.
 
And God met him there.
 
What began as a need for physical healing became a moment of healing for both body and spirit.
 
This is why His presence is at the center of everything we do.
 
Because sometimes the pain we see is only part of the story and when Jesus draws near, He cares for the whole person.

Testimony #4 begins with Part 1 of Joshua and Kathleen Padgett’s story.
 
They came to Mexico not fully knowing what they were stepping into.
 
And in the middle of it, the Lord gave them a simple invitation:
 
Delight in what I am going to do.
 
Instead of needing to know every detail, they were invited to trust Him, stay present, and receive the beauty of what He had already prepared.
 
Sometimes faith looks less like having clarity and more like choosing joy in the unfolding.
 
Their story is a beautiful reminder that when we loosen our grip on expectations, we make room to be surprised by the goodness of God.

Our third testimony begins with Part 1 of the Liu family’s story.
 
Jack shares that they came to Mexico not really knowing what to expect.
 
But once they arrived, they saw the need firsthand.
 
And something changed.
 
Sometimes it takes going, seeing, and stepping into someone else’s world for the Lord to expand our hearts in ways we never expected.
 
The Liu family came ready to serve—but they’re returning home changed forever.
 
This is one of the beautiful things about missions: we go hoping to be a blessing, and somehow God transforms us in the process.

Our second testimony from our Mexico team comes from Temi Abioye.
 
There is something beautiful that happens when we simply say yes to God.
 
When we follow His Word, obey His leading, and make His heart our priority, He begins to shape our desires to look more like His.
 
We don’t have to strive to make everything fall into place. We get to trust the One who already sees the whole picture.
 
Temi’s testimony is such a beautiful reminder that obedience opens the door to discovering just how faithful God is.

His ways are better.
His timing is better.
And He is always worthy of our yes.
