We are continuing to get big dogs in! 😲

We need to transfer dogs to make room for the new ones that will inevitably call this place home for a while.

B**r Run Bobby - middle aged, bowling ball with teeny legs and a big ass head. Must be an only dog. Super friendly with all people. Lives for car rides.

Beth Ann - very energetic young gal. Maybe a year old. She loves running and going for walks. We will be dog testing her this week but from what we've seen, she is friendly with other dogs, just comes in hot. No cats. Needs structure but is SO friendly.

Dandelion and Banjo- bark at strangers on the street. Cuddle extraordinaires. Iffy with other dogs but are great together. Lived a sad sad life with not much socialization but would be worth a shot if someone will give it to them. They were nearly starved to death. Not bonded! These two are gonna break my heart if we have to euthanize after finally being rescued.

This little orange dude is SO sweet. Like so so so sweet.

He's under a year old but not a baby baby. He came in with a collar and a bell 🔔 so SOMEONE has to know this cat. We've posted him on Pet FBI and Lost Cats Illinois and nothing yet. Found in Bellwood! No chip either.

He follows you everywhere. Nudges your hand so you'll pet him. Rubs all over you. And purrs like a fu***ng motorboat. You'd think this mo********er was at the t***y bar admiring some girl named Jade's goodies. 😂😂😂

His stray hold is up Wednesday around midday and obviously we would LOVE to get him home before then.

Butttttt if nobody claims him, we need a plan because we don't have cat cages. Like at all. This is not a cat operation over here. 😂

We know it's hard to be take an only dog for most rescues and shelters but B**r Run Bobby is not gonna last long here.

He has happy tail and his ears are pretty gnarly.

We will try and get him to the vet asap but our funds are low so we would rather get him transferred asap.

He's so sweet and funny. Loves people, not a single behavior issue here.

Loves car rides and is always looking for the next one! He's a quiet guy in his kennel and his poops are getting more solid by the day!

🐈‍⬛ MEET DOMINICK ANTHONY 🐈‍⬛

Dominick Anthony is a young cat who has been living the street life at, of all places, one of my favorite spots... Fat Daddyz in Summit. 😂

And let's be honest? If you're gonna be a stray cat, finding yourself a biker bar full of people willing to look after you isn't the worst fu***ng setup.🤘🏽

Dominick has been hanging around Fat Daddyz for a while now, and the employees and patrons have basically made him part of the crew. When he's around, they let him sleep inside at night, hang out with everyone, and make sure he's got a safe place to be.

Recently, we came across a GoFundMe that one of the employees started for him, and once we heard the whole story, we reached out to see if we could help.

Because unfortunately, time is of the essence for Dominick.....

Someone in the neighborhood has been poisoning cats.

And Dominick is exactly the kind of cat who could easily become a victim. Despite living outside, this dude is FRIENDLY. He'll happily walk right up to people to say hello, which is adorable until you realize that means he doesn't know which humans he should stay the hell away from.

The people at Fat Daddyz didn't want to wait around and find out. And.... Even better, one of the employees has offered to give Dominick a HOME. ❤️

Before he could officially retire from his biker-bar-street-cat era, though, he needed to get to a vet. They needed to make sure he hadn't already been exposed to poison, get him examined, vaccinated, tested, and take care of the vetting he needs before heading home.

So... we decided to help. Was taking on another vet bill exactly what we needed right now? Absolutely the f**k not. 😂

This year has hit us HARD AF, and we've been fundraising our asses off trying to keep up with everything already on our plate.

But Dominick had people fighting for him, a home waiting for him, and a chance to get off the streets before something terrible happened.

Helping him was the right thing to do.

His veterinary care to date has totaled $889.17.

We're sharing his GoFundMe in hopes that maybe our supporters can help us cover some of that cost and get this little biker-bar baby officially off the streets and onto somebody's couch. 🖤

Rumor is now fully vetted!

She was spayed and a small mass was taken off her leg. We're waiting on pathology results but she is soooo ready to move on to the next chapter!

Meet Beth Ann 🖤

Beth Ann’s story is a little different than most of the dogs who come through our doors.

She was living under a bridge with her owner, who is struggling with addiction. But one thing was immediately clear: Beth Ann was loved. She had a collar. She had tags. She was in good condition. Sometimes people are fighting battles that take everything from them, and unfortunately, Beth Ann needed somewhere safe to land.

And Beth Ann? She apparently decided the police station would do just fine. 😂

Within minutes of meeting everyone, she was on her back demanding belly rubs. Then she happily hopped into the squad car and rode to the station like she had somewhere important to be.

Beth Ann is probably only 1–2 years old and is a happy, energetic, ridiculously sweet girl who LOVES people. She came to us dusty as hell from life under the bridge, but underneath all that dirt is a gorgeous, shiny black coat and one hell of a pretty girl.

We also introduced her to a small dog. Her test was wonderfully boring. She mostly ignored the little guy and went about her business. We’re hoping to get some additional dog testing done, and rescues are always welcome to come meet her and do their own evaluation.

Beth Ann is now AVAILABLE FOR RESCUE TRANSFER. 🖤

She didn’t end up here because she wasn’t loved. Life just dealt her person a really sh*tty hand, and now we’d like to make sure Beth Ann’s next chapter is a good one.
