Here we are working the El Dorado County Fair...

While we are diligently raising funds for our Detachment our JR Past Commandant Victor Mansfield is down in Coronado at the NASCAR Truck races.....

Why would he be there instead of here? Victor Mansfield is the winner of Columbia Banks Veteran Owned Business contest ...he is a co-signer on our business account.

Victor and is lovely bride Caroline are enjoying a fully paid VIP experience courtesy of Columbia Bank.

Maria Bass our local Columbia Bank manager is there along with them.

Victor seemed to be especially excited about having dinner tomorrow hosted by the Navy Seal Foundation and a tour of the Warrior Fitness Center...then dinner at the Ultimate Skybox.

We are looking forward to A LOT of pictures from Victor that we can share in the next couple of days.

Battle of Belleau Wood — June 13th Reflection

On June 13, 1918, the Marines continued their brutal fight in the woods of Belleau Wood during World War I. Facing deadly machine-gun fire, artillery, and fierce resistance, the Marines pushed forward with unmatched courage and determination.

It was during this battle that the Marines earned a legendary reputation for toughness and fighting spirit, forever connecting them with the nickname “Devil Dogs” (Teufel Hunden). The sacrifice and bravery shown at Belleau Wood became part of the warrior legacy of the United States Marine Corps.

Belleau Wood was more than a battle — it was a statement.
Marines don’t quit. Marines adapt, overcome, and accomplish the mission.

To those who fought, bled, and never returned:

Semper Fidelis. 🇺🇸
Their courage echoes forever.

While others run from fear and chaos, Marines run straight into it, with one objective in mind: to win. The Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) bridges the gap between naval fleets and inland battlefields while delivering direct fire support and force protection.
