Today is National Senior Citizens Day. 💜 For decades, Open Your Heart to a Senior has helped older adults in Westmoreland County stay independent in the homes they love. Our volunteers provide free, non-medical support: rides to medical appointments, help with groceries and errands, friendly visits, help reading mail, and home safety checks.

Simple things. Life-changing things.

This program came close to ending. One extraordinary gift kept it alive — now it's our community's turn.

🤲 Thank you to everyone who donated to this year's Wesley Wishes Back to School Drive. Because of you, students across our programs are heading into the new school year with what they need — notebooks, pencils, calculators, headphones, hygiene items, shoes, and brand-new backpacks to carry it all.

🎒 For a child who has had a lot of uncertainty, walking into a classroom prepared is more than a convenience. It's confidence.

That's a wrap on our first-ever Extended School Year at Wesley Education Center! 🌞

Five weeks. Five theme weeks. Our students' very first trips off property — Keystone Safari, Echo Pines Equine Therapy, Bowl-O-Drome, the Grove City YMCA, and Grove City Memorial Park. Plus visitors, water days, and a blow-up water slide to finish it off.

Thank you to Lyndsay Denny, Ann Marie Pierce, our whole staff, and every partner who showed up for our kids. 💙

This past Friday, supervisors from all across Wesley Family Services gathered for a Summit at Wesley High School. They heard from mental health advocate Kevin Berthia Su***de Survivor/Advocate/Speaker and also enjoyed various wellness activities.

This event helps Wesley Family Services supervisors invest in their self-care, enabling them to continue empowering children, adults, and families by providing transformational Quality WholePerson Care ®.

Thank you, Pittsburgh. 💜 On August 4, our region showed up for the Critical Needs Alert, and you showed up for Wesley Family Services.

Every gift, no matter the size, goes toward meeting basic needs for the children, adults, older adults, and families we serve. Groceries. Transportation. School supplies. The everyday essentials that make stability possible.
