As you may know last year was the first year that the crosses with flags were displayed along West Street in Pittsboro. What a beautiful sight it was - 84 crosses bearing the names of Veterans who served our country. As of today we have orders for 95 more crosses. For those of you who have purchased a cross, we thank you. This year we are offering the Star of David. If you know anyone who would like to order a cross or a Star of David to honor a Veteran, living or deceased, please let them know about this event. All orders must be placed by August 31. That gives us time to order the crosses and Stars of David, have the names printed and assemble them to be placed along the street in Pittsboro on November 7th. If you are considering honoring a Veteran in your life, now is the time to order a cross or Star of David. A one of time fee of $100 for the cross and $125 for the Star of David. Each year your cross or Star of David will be displayed along West Street in Pittsboro to honor your veteran.

We will be placing our first order of the year for the crosses/ Star of David at the end of this month. It takes our volunteers a while to a prepare them for display, so please order as soon as you can.

Please let others who may be interested, know about this event.

Last year was our first year and it was quite a success. We honored 84 Veterans. This year our goal is 150, and we are getting there but have a few more to go. Help us reach that goal by honoring a Veteran in your life.

We are receiving orders for the memorial crosses for the veterans that served our country. As of this week we are excited to report that the number of crosses right now exceeds 100. Help us line the street in Pittsboro in November with a few more crosses.
