Leadership Pine Bluff participants spent an outstanding day exploring higher education and workforce development opportunities during our June Education Session.
The day began at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where the class experienced innovation firsthand by seeing the Robo Dog in action, touring the library and its advanced technology resources, and getting a sneak peek at the impressive new Student Union Building. This state-of-the-art facility, which will soon open to students, will house student services offices and feature amenities including a gymnasium and bowling alley. The group also enjoyed a delicious lunch in the UAPB cafeteria.
In the afternoon, the class visited Southeast Arkansas College, where they heard from members of the college's leadership team and toured the campus. Participants met Arthur, the robotic patient used in the nursing program, and explored the Technical Studies Building to learn more about hands-on training opportunities in areas such as welding, HVAC, and other skilled trades.
A special thank you to both institutions for providing such an informative and engaging experience. We are fortunate to have these outstanding educational partners helping prepare the next generation of leaders and workforce professionals right here in Pine Bluff.
