✨ In Case You Missed It ✨ Lasting Impact 💜 | In Our Own Words: The Williams-Sanders Family

Sometimes the greatest gift camp can offer is the chance for a child to simply be a kid.

For Moriah, who has faced significant health challenges since birth and is preparing for another difficult chapter in her medical journey, North Star Reach offered something her family rarely gets to experience: the freedom to laugh, explore, and just enjoy being at camp.

She came home talking about boating, fishing, and the fish she proudly caught ... memories that will last far longer than a weekend.

Her sister, Aria, found something special too. As is often the case in families navigating chronic illness, siblings can sometimes take a back seat. At camp, Aria was celebrated, supported, and made memories of her own, including catching three fish! 🎣

Their mom shared:

"North Star Reach provided something so much more than a camp experience—you gave my daughters a chance to feel normal, adventurous, capable, and free."

✨ In Case You Missed It ✨ Find Your Campfire 🔥 | Volunteer Profile: Deb Rosenzweig

Sometimes all it takes is saying "yes" to something new.

When Deb Rosenzweig joined Abercrombie & Fitch, she learned about the company's longtime partnership with the SeriousFun Children's Network and the opportunity to volunteer at North Star Reach. Encouraged by a coworker who had volunteered for nearly a decade, Deb decided to apply ... and discovered a place unlike any other.

As an Activity Leader, she watched campers laugh, try new things, build confidence, and encourage one another throughout the week.

"It truly filled my cup in ways I never expected," Deb shared. "I'm incredibly grateful to work for a company that encourages employees to give back ... and I already can't wait to return next summer to experience the camp magic—and Mooseness—again."

🫎 Wishlist Wednesday: Have a Golf Cart? We Have a Wish! 💙

This week, we’re taking Wishlist Wednesday off our Amazon.com Wishlist and putting a different kind of wish out into our community!

🚙 North Star Reach is looking for golf carts!

With three Family Camp Weekends coming up, one in September and two in October, golf carts are an important part of helping children with serious health challenges and their families experience everything our 105 Acre Wood has to offer.

They help us:

💙 Support campers and family members with mobility needs
🩺 Assist our Medical Team in getting around camp
🏕️ Move people and supplies between activities
✨ Help make more of the camp experience accessible to everyone

Could you help?

We’re looking for individuals, businesses, golf courses, dealerships, or community partners who might be willing to:

🚙 Donate a golf cart to North Star Reach as a lasting resource for camp

🫎💙 That's a Wrap on MOOSE-ic Festival! 🎶

A little rain? Okay ... maybe more than a little at times. 🌧️😄

But it turns out Mooseness is pretty weatherproof.

Yesterday, our Campily showed up for North Star Reach's 2nd Annual MOOSE-ic Festival, presented by Kalitta Air ... and what a day it was!

The rain came and went, but the music kept playing. You stayed. You danced. You laughed. You explored camp. You enjoyed incredible food and drinks. You made gifts. And, most importantly, you made memories! 💙

After traveling the Road to MOOSE-ic Festival together, we have so many people to thank:

🎶 Our incredible musicians and entertainers who kept the music and energy going!

🍴 Our food and beverage partners who kept our Campily well-fed and refreshed!

🙋 Our amazing volunteers who did s'more and s'more and s'more to make the day possible!

💙 Our North Star Reach staff who poured so much time, energy, creativity, and heart into this celebration!

🤝 Our generous sponsors whose support helped bring MOOSE-ic Festival to life!

🫎 And YOU: our guests, donors, friends, families, neighbors, and Campily! You could have looked at the forecast and stayed home. Instead, you showed up, stayed, celebrated, and supported camp.

Rain has passed through camp! Our 2nd Annual MOOSE-ic Festival is going strong! Five Becomes West is now performing in front of a great audience! Come on down to camp in Pinckney for a great evening of live music! See you at camp!
