We gladly accept clean, quality, gently used or new items such as clothing for men, women and children, jewelry, shoes, lamps, knickknacks, toys, games, puzzles, electronics, small appliances, small sporting goods, books, housewares, holiday decorations and linens. Please bring clothing and linens in bags, not on hangers. Please note that we are unable to accept clothing that is missing buttons, r

ipped or stained, has broken zippers, smells smoky, musty or of mothballs. We are unable to accept items that are missing pieces, damaged or in need of repair. Removal and disposal of these items we cannot sell wastes valuable volunteer time and expense for the shop. Thank you for understanding our policy. We are unable to accept:
* Nothing broken, torn, chipped, or soiled
* No used underwear or socks
* Baby equipment: Cribs, Pack n Plays, Walkers with wheels, High chairs, Car seats, Strollers
* Computer Monitors / Hard Drives / Printers / Scanners / Fax Machines
* TVs / Stereo Equipment
* VHS Tapes or cassettes
* No Encyclopedias
* No sleeping pillows
* Exercise Equipment
* Bicycle Helmets
* Non-working small electronics
* Furniture
* No Chandeliers
* Food Items of any kind

SHOULD I CALL AHEAD BEFORE DONATING ? No need, we will happily accept donations at your convenience during our operating hours.
**PLEASE do not leave donated items outside our door when the Tappan Zee Thrift Shop is closed**


ARE DONATIONS TAX DEDUCTIBLE ? Yes, we provide a dated and signed slip for your donation. The IRS regulations state items must be in good to excellent condition to be tax-deductible. Your purchases, donations and volunteer hours benefit the following organizations:
