From Mayor Nate Mitchell

Attention Residents - **ROAD CLOSURE**:
ORU has scheduled a gas main replacement project that will involve road closures and detours of South Piermont Ave and Valentine Ave starting next week. Crews will be working and detours will be posted during the day starting Wednesday 9/9, and the project is anticipated to take 4 to 6 weeks to complete. While working, westbound traffic on S. Piermont Ave will be diverted over the Rockland Road bridge onto Ferdon Ave. The crews will permit residents access as needed, and school bus routes will not be impacted. Work will commence after 8AM, and conclude by 5PM during this timeframe, weather permitting. Please plan accordingly, drive carefully, and always heed flag crews and detours in work zones.
