Pickens Rotary Club is proud to support Pickens County Emergency Services!

Our treasurer, Jeannie Gilstrap, presented a check to Billy Gibson, Chief of Emergency Services, to help buy an emergency trailer. It will help our first responders be ready when our community needs them most.

Thank you, Chief Gibson and the whole Emergency Services team, for all you do to keep Pickens County safe. 💙

October 24 is World Polio Day!

For decades, Rotary members around the world have worked toward one ambitious goal: ending polio for good. Through vaccination, advocacy, and the support of partners, the world is closer than ever to making polio the second human disease ever eradicated.

Pickens Rotary is proud to be part of that global effort.

A big thank you to fellow Pickens Rotarian Michael Cunningham, CEO of AnMed Cannon, for speaking at our meeting this week. It was great to hear about what's happening at our local hospital and the care being provided right here in Pickens County. We appreciate Michael's leadership and everyone at AnMed Cannon who serves our community every day.

Congratulations to Jeannie Gilstrap on being recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow +7, honoring her generous support of The Rotary Foundation!

Jeannie truly is the backbone of our club. Since joining Pickens Rotary in 2001, she has worn so many hats: treasurer, grants chair, leader of many of our fundraisers, and countless other leadership roles over her 25 years. We are so grateful for everything you do, Jeannie!
