Celebrating 49 Years of Service Above Self!

This week, we were proud to recognize Ken Acker for an incredible 49 years as a member of the Pickens Rotary Club and present him with his Paul Harris Fellow +3 recognition.

District Governor Eric Krichbaum and Pickens Rotary President Meredith Oh had the honor of presenting the recognition to Ken.

Thank you, Ken, for nearly five decades of dedication to Rotary and service to our community. We are grateful for the example you continue to set!

We’re excited to have Big Rock Bike Shop joining us for Ride to the Rock on September 26! They’ll be selling these custom Ride to the Rock items at the event.

After you finish the ride, stop by their setup at the Pickens Amphitheater and check them out!

This past Saturday, Pickens Rotary packed 800 bags of food for Feed a Hungry Child Pickens County!

We’re proud to support an organization helping make sure local children have food when they’re away from school. A great morning of service for our Pickens County community.

Join us Wednesday, September 2 at 12:30 PM at the Pickens County Museum as we welcome Rotary District Governor Eric Krichbaum!

Eric is a longtime Rotarian and experienced leader who now serves as District Governor for Rotary International District 7750 for the 2026–2027 Rotary year. We’re excited to hear from him and learn more about his vision for Rotary across our district.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hearing from Jim Capaldi as he shared stories and videos from his trip to the Amazon!

Jim has a real talent for capturing his travels on video, and we loved getting to experience a little of the Amazon through his lens. Thank you, Jim, for sharing your adventure with us!
