My name is honey, I was once ‘saved’ by a hoarder.. 32 of us on a acre in Scottsdale. When she was turned in we all needed a place to go so several rescues all helped and I landed here at Freed Spirits. What I learned from this experience is how easy it is for people to get carried away. It’s hard to turn away animas but in order to care for them correctly you have to know your limit and ours. I’m thankful I’m here. To just be. Safe. Fed. Loved. Protected. With Spencer. 🤍

My name is Annabelle.
This month, we all have to evaluate the goals we set in January.
My goal is for every animal to be safe and loved. Since I am not allowed to leave the ranch, I contribute to the reduction of animal suffering by being a gentle friend to every being at the rescue.
Imagine what a wonderful world we could have if we all made the effort.

My name is Lucy.
The rescue team has been extraordinary to us the past 6 months.
I no longer cough or wheeze with exertion. They helped us get strong enough to go all the way around the neighborhood now ( which we love to do ).
We now love spa days on under the covered patio, getting all cleaned up and emotionally filled up from the kindness of the team.
We know our names, exactly what time meals will be served, and the cuddles for bedtime tuck ins.
Thank you to our team for their selfless service of making the difference for us & the donors helping to make this happen. I’m pretty sure this is Heaven on Earth.

Sweet Aspen, 7 years ago we got a call from a family then another and another. All different stories of how they “rescued” a goat. We will never know the truth behind how she ended up at the house we got her from. All we know was she was scared, terrified and would shake if a human went by her. We had the chance to love this beautiful being for 5 years. She was an angel and momma to every new member. We sure miss you aspen 🤍

Yes, I got me a tough reputation. You know who the real super heroes are? The men and women who gave their lives for our country. I would be absolutely terrified being in the line of fire.
