Luffa or loofah is a tasty vegetable that is also known as Chinese okra. You can eat it when is young and tender. It can also be used when it's fully matured and dried as a scrubbing sponge. Yes! Our Healthy Roots Garden looks beautiful with our loofah vines! We'll be selling loofah in both stages. Come and get your locally grown loofah at Las Tres Hermanas Ecotienda.

Today was a special day for the 6th cohort who graduated from the Urban Heat Leadership Academy sponsored by The Nature Conservancy. Participants were encouraged to continue learning and to put their new gained knowledge into practice. The Orchard Community Learning Center among other partner community organizations welcomes all volunteers to come and take care of our planet one tree, one garden, one plot of soil at a time. For more information on how to volunteer call John at 602 5096042. ¡Hablamos español!
