PAQ celebrates Filipino American History Month!

On October 18, 1587, the first recorded presence of Filipinos in the United States landed on Morro Bay, California. Currently, Filipino Americans constitute the third-largest AAPI group in the country, shaping America for generations through struggle, achievement, and organizing against exclusion, exploitation, and erasure. This October, celebrate and learn the history, experiences, and legacy of the Filipino American community!

PAQ celebrates LGBTQ+ History Month in October!

Founded in 1994 by Missouri educator Rodney Wilson, this month-long observance is dedicated to honoring the LGBTQ+ community and teaching our history, movements, and trailblazers. It coincides with National Coming Out Day on October 11th and commemorates the first Marches on Washington for LGBTQ rights in 1979 and 1987.

This year, Asian Americans United (AAU) is hosting its 31st Mid-Autumn Festival in Philadelphia's Chinatown! There will be food, friends, live music and performances, and more. There is no admission or ticket fee to enter the festival and many of the entertainment portions are free; booths selling goods or food are pay as you go. We will hangout at bubblefish before we go in to enjoy all of the festival happenings!
