We are beyond excited to be so close to celebrating the incredible 2026 class of Walk of Fame inductees. Limited sponsor and tickets are still available - don't miss out on this incredible night.

Yannick Nezet-Seguin doesn’t just conduct music, he shapes culture. As Music & Artistic Director of The Philadelphia Orchestra, his leadership keeps Philly at the forefront of the global classical stage and we are honored to induct him into the Walk of Fame this year.

Adam Blackstone is the architect behind the modern musical moments we will never forget. As a global music director, producer, and bassist Adam continues to shape the sonic impact of today’s biggest performances from the Super Bowl to international tours, bringing Philly excellence to the world while remaining grounded in his roots.

As a radio DJ, Lady B helped introduce hip hop to the Philly airwaves and beyond as well as making history as the first female rapper to release a recorded single. By continuously creating space, breaking barriers, and building platforms for generations, her influence on the culture is undeniable.

Sun Ra Arkestra is a living force of sound that continues to push music beyond boundaries. Pioneers of Afrofuturism and experimental jazz, Sun Ra Arkestra has redefined what performance, imagination, and impact can be for generations of music lovers.

Louise Williams Bishop is a true champion whose lifelong advocacy has helped shape the sound, spirit, and story of Philadelphia music. From amplifying artists to preserving the history that defines our city, her impact reaches far beyond any single contribution and remains everlasting in the very heartbeat of Philly’s creative community.

Hugh Panaro has a voice that has defined musical theater at the highest level. From his celebrated run in The Phantom of the Opera to stages around the world, Hugh Panaro’s commanding presence and vocal brilliance have left an undeniable mark on Broadway and beyond.

Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale are globally recognized as “America’s Ambassadors of Song” and one of the world’s premier choirs. This extraordinary ensemble has carried the sounds of Philadelphia across continents, setting the standard for excellence in choral music.

Pablo Batista is a globally respected percussionist whose work carries the heartbeat of music from Philadelphia to iconic stages worldwide. Beyond performance, his commitment to education has helped shape the next generation of musicians, passing down knowledge, discipline, and the deep cultural roots behind the sound

And we are thrilled to celebrate Walk of Fame inductee and 2026 Lifetime Achievement honoree, Earl Young, a founding force behind the iconic Philly Sound and one of the most influential drummers in modern music history. Earl Young didn’t just play the beat, he created a movement. His signature style helped define disco and continues to shape rhythm across genres. Generations later, his sound still fuels dance floors around the world.

Make sure you don't miss out and join us on May 13th at the 2026 Walk of Fame Gala at the Kimmel Center for an unforgettable night celebrating music and mission.

We are so excited for next month to add Pablo Batista to the Walk of Fame!

The four-time Grammy winner paid a very special visit to college students at Montgomery County Community College's Sound Recording and Music Technology program in Blue Bell on Monday, serving as a sort of pop-up professor and musical muse.

As we wrap up the end of the year, the most important thing we want to say is thank you.

Thank you for believing in Philadelphia’s music legacy.
Thank you for supporting the artists, professionals, and stories that define our city.
And thank you for staying connected to an organization that continues to evolve — with purpose, partnerships, and renewed energy.

As we close the year, we wanted to share a few highlights you made possible:

📘The Philadelphia Music Book
This year marked the release of The Philadelphia Music Book, a long-awaited celebration of the people and sounds that shaped our city from editor and PMA Founder, Larry Magid. Net proceeds benefit our education programs. The positive response has been deeply affirming, and we want to thank everyone that has covered the release. Copies are available on our website!

🌍 A Transatlantic Partnership with the European Union
We are proud to be the US partner for music with the European Union in Philadelphia on the Transatlantic Rising Stars Project, a groundbreaking cultural exchange that connects emerging artists and music professionals across borders. We look forward to creating opportunities for Philly artists and telling our story as a global music voice.

🎓 Philly Music Career Industry Event
In November, in partnership with Drexel University’s Westphal College of Media Arts & Design, we hosted a free Philadelphia Music Industry Career Summit—an interactive evening equipping college students and emerging music professionals with the insights, connections, and tools to navigate and thrive with real-world pathways in music. Thank you to everyone that supported the event with a special shout out to our panel featuring Brianna DeMayo, Mont Brown, and Johnny Montina. It was an energizing reminder that workforce development remains an essential piece of our mission.

We have so much more planned for 2026 and beyond and we cannot wait to share it all with you. It’s also only made possible with YOUR support.

💛 Year-End Giving
As the year comes to a close, we invite you to support our work through year-end giving. Your contribution helps us preserve Philadelphia’s music legacy while investing in the next generation of talent.

✹ Looking Ahead to 2026
And yes — we’re already planning ahead for a big year! Stay tuned for more information about our 2026 Walk of Fame Gala, where we’ll once again gather to honor excellence in Philadelphia music and generate impact for the next generation.

With appreciation and excitement for what’s next, Happy New Year!
