Sweet & Delicious Day! CAGP hosted a Fruit Carving Class with Teacher-Auntie Manica. Fruit Carving is a delicious hobby that can help elders find mental relaxation, emotional calm, and continue to exercise their aging motor skills. There were a lot of laughs and bonding. Do you know anyone who would like to participate if we hosted another class?

CAGP's Cambodian American Cultural Conservancy is digging and discovering thousands of photographs, videos, and documents of our Khmer and Southeast Asian American history. Truly compelling to be anthropologist & archeologist in our own offices.

In the 1980s, thousands of Cambodian refugees, displaced war and genocide survivors, arrived into Philadelphia. CAGP is stitching together the images amd stories so that it may never be lost to future generations.

Older Adults and Seniors are vulnerable being abused. This week in South and North Philly, we had conversations on identifying what Elder Abuse can look and feel like. It is important to have open discussions with our Khmer Elders to be able to better understand that abuse includes physical AND MORE. We also had a green and red flag activity to help lock in the communal learning experience.
