Join us for the 2026 Honorable Clifford Scott Green Lecture: "Fulfilling the Promise of Equality."

Professor Ruqaiijah Yearby, who holds the Judge Clifford Scott Green Chair in Law, will honor Judge Green's life and legacy with remarks on the promise of equality in the 13th and 14th Amendments, the historic and contemporary obstacles to that promise, and why law schools and lawyers must confront them to preserve the rule of law. She will then discuss how law schools, lawyers and students can partner with communities to implement a Truth, Reconciliation and Healing process.

A new study of health policy research by CPHLR and Temple University College of Public Health assessed the transparency of legal research methods in 100 highly cited health policy impact studies published between 2009 and 2019.

The paper rates the studies on 11 measures of transparency and offers constructive guidance for researchers, reviewers, and editors who are creating, using, or assessing legal data on scientific studies.

In an article released today in Health Affairs Forefront, 30 of the nation’s foremost public health law and policy researchers warn that recent actions and statements by the National Institutes of Health that policymakers are now no longer considered a stakeholder group within the scope of NIH could have rippling and concerning consequences for US public health.
