Father and Son. Both died in the same year during the Civil War and buried at St. Mark's cemetery on Welsh road.
Post 810 was there on Memorial Day to remember them.

Ed was a Founding Member of American Legion Post 810 after WW2 and was a major reason the Delaware Valley Veterans Home is here today.

NEVER FORGET
Today, Post 810 remembers Augustine "GUS" Durso, who, at 97, passed away on May 29, 2023
Gus was a proud US Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Bustleton Memorial American Legion Post 810 for over 50 years.
He is missed by all who knew him.

Who says meetings have to be boring??? On Wednesday May 13th, we held our quarterly Advisory Council meeting.

The Advisory Council at Delaware Valley Veterans’ Home meets discuss ways to improve resident life, share feedback, and help us continue providing the best care possible.

The council is made up of Veteran Organizations such as Veterans of Foreign Wars, Marine Corps League, Blinded Veterans Association, AMVETS, American Legion, Catholic War Veterans, Disabled American Veterans, Military Officers Association of America and a Resident Representative. We representatives from the PA Senate as well as PA House of Representatives.
