The mission of the CAPE Council is the prevention of child abuse and neglect through increased public awareness, community collaboration and education.

The CAPE Council is a Children's Trust Michigan designated Council. We provide resources to the community through brochures on parenting skills, hold an annual conference, recognize community members who positively impact the lives of children, participate in the Parenting Awareness Month and the Children's Health Fair as well as publish a quarterly newsletter.

October is safe sleep awareness month, and CAPE will be sharing safe sleep items with our community partners for disbursement in our three counties.
Yesterday we were able to share sleep sacks and some pack n plays with the Health Department of Northwest Michigan! We are grateful for these collaborations.

Children Trust Michigan helps to provide so much support for children!

Parents and caregivers — if you are part of a Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) benefits program, you may qualify for free diapers through the Diaper Assistance Program!

Qualified caregivers can pick up diapers at their local MDHHS office once a month for up to four months. To get started, visit your local office and ask for the Diaper Assistance Request Form (MDHHS-Pub-6251).

If you know a family who could benefit, please pass this information along. A little support can go a long way!
