If you’re from the North Fork, you’ve definitely seen the beautiful Lola Rose around town. We had an amazing day working on our Modern Snack Bar calendar and celebrating everything that makes our community so special.

The Rescue Vixens have always believed in being ourselves, and creating something people look forward to year after year. A huge thank you to Mike and the Volkswagen Car Club, and of course Otto, John, and the entire Modern Snack Bar family for helping make it happen.

The calendar will be available soon at the Modern Snack Bar, with proceeds benefiting what we love most: animal rescue.

These cats may not “belong” to anyone, but they still rely on us. When they cross our path, we all have a chance to be part of the solution — even when it’s inconvenient.

You don’t need prior experience to get started. Many of our volunteers began with zero background in TNVR and are now making a real difference for cats in their own neighborhoods.

🚨 INTAKE CLOSED 🚨

This is one of the hardest posts we have to make. Right now, we have 6 dogs sitting in boarding and no available foster homes to move them into. Because of that, we are temporarily unable to take in additional dogs.

Every day, we receive messages about dogs that need help, dogs in shelters, owner surrenders, etc. We have dogs on waiting lists….Lately, we have found ourselves saying "no" far more often than we ever want to, and it's heartbreaking.

🚨 The reality is simple: we desperately need fosters and adopters. We know we are coming into the summer which makes it even worse. Less homes and more people dumping their dogs.

Many people are surprised to learn that fostering is completely free. Pitties & Pals Rescue covers veterinary care, medications, and supplies as needed. You provide a safe place, love, patience, and structure while we handle the rest.

Our rescue is also incredibly hands-on. We don't just hand you a dog and wish you luck. We are here to answer questions, provide guidance, help with introductions, discuss behaviors, and support our fosters every step of the way.

We have dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages, and personalities. Dog-friendly dogs. Dog-selective dogs. Puppies and adults. We carefully match each dog to the most appropriate foster home and even short-term fosters can make a tremendous difference.

Fostering gives a dog the chance to decompress, learn a routine, experience life in a home, and show their true personality. Quite simply, fostering saves lives.

And if you happen to fall in love? ❤️

Our foster families always get first consideration to adopt their foster dog before we review outside applications. Some of our happiest adoption stories started as foster homes.

If you live within approximately 60 minutes of Jackson, NJ, please consider opening your home to a dog in need.
