"First-of-its-Kind Mahashivratri Puja Organized by FISANA Brings Community Together in Spiritual Harmony"

Edison - New Jersey – In a landmark event for the local Indian community, the Federation of Indian American Associations of North America ( FISANA) celebrated Mahashivratri with a deeply spiritual and well-attended puja. The event, a first for the organization, was held at the Golden Era Day Care Center and saw the participation of over 100 devoted community members.

The auspicious occasion was initiated by FISANA President Sureshbhai, who led the charge in bringing this two-hour-long spiritual gathering to life. The puja provided a serene environment for devotees to observe the holy night, offering prayers and seeking blessings.

The event was made possible through the generous support of Bhagwat Parmar, owner of the Golden Era Day Care Center, who offered his facility as the venue for the spiritual gathering. His contribution provided a perfect and welcoming space for the community to come together in devotion.

FISANA Celebrates a Quarter Century of Service with Grand Silver Jubilee Extravaganza

EDISON, NJ – November 2, 2025 – The Federation of Indo-American Senior Association of North America (FISANA), the largest non-profit umbrella organization for Indo-American seniors, marked a significant milestone on Saturday, November 1, 2025, with a grand celebration of its 25th Silver Jubilee Anniversary. The event, held under the leadership of President Sureshbhai Patel, witnessed an overwhelming turnout of members from across the Tri-State area.

Since its establishment in 2001, FISANA has been dedicated to enriching the lives of senior communities who often find themselves isolated and uprooted from their native culture. Encompassing more than 20 senior associations and 12,000 individual members, FISANA organizes social, cultural, healthcare, and entertainment programs, paving the way for a comfortable and active life in their golden years.

The momentous occasion was graced by the presence of current Chairman Mr. Piyushbhai Patel, alongside past Chairmen Padma Shri Dr. Sudhirbhai Parikh, Dipakhshai Shah, and Kanubhai Patel. The celebration also welcomed Mayors from Woodbridge and Edison Township, along with numerous dignitaries, political leaders, and prominent business personalities.

A poignant highlight of the evening was the recognition of dedicated leaders. Present and past chairmen, including the late Shri Ramanbhai Shah, were honored with commemorative plaques for their visionary service and unwavering commitment to the organization.
