We are wrapping up our North America continent study with Mexico. As part of our invitations to visit continents, we also read about celebrations. We learned about piñatas, and this week we painted sugar skulls for our Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead) celebration next week. In Mexico, this is a reunion with Loved Ones: Families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives for a joyful and loving reunion rather than a gloomy mourning period. We will have a decorated altar with pictures of our loved ones who have passed.
