5 whole years! Today we're pleased to announce we will be working with Peoria Firefighters Local 50, Peoria IL Fire Department and Peoria Park District with 99.9 WWCT to bring Fill the Firetruck back online for another year!

Over the years we've worked with Peoria Federation of Teachers Local 780 and many other community partners to bring attention to school supplies and needs for our local kids, teachers, and families! Our ultimate goal is to ensure all our teachers and students have the means to succeed for the school year!

This year we'll have several locations across Peoria to drop off school supplies and many ways to donate time or money, and just have some fun! Look for us at the local Walmarts, Jimmy's Bar, and other locations where our aim is to Fill these firetrucks once again! Last year we cleared over 1200 backpacks clear and originals with characters kids love and we are always aiming for more!

The The YANI Collective, Juneteenth Committee and The NAACP PEORIA BRANCH Are Proud To Once Again Come Together For The 2026 Juneteenth Fest and The 3rd Annual Ernestine Jackson Freedom Day Parade on Saturday, June 13th At The Peoria Riverfront!

Juneteenth Fest Starts: 12:00 PM
Freedom Day Parade Starts: 1:00 PM

Once The Parade Concludes, Participants Can Walk Directly Into The Juneteenth Fest At The Riverfront For An Experience Filled With Culture, Music, Food, Entertainment, Vendors, Community Resources, Performances, Health Fair, Family activities, and More.

We Have Some Surprises and Announcements Coming As We Get Closer To The Event Date!

Gold Gym is offered PPS employees ONLY a summer deal that fits OUR schedule. $95 for 2 months, no fees! Just show up and tell them you are an employee and the front desk will take care of you!
