It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Kaye “Kookie” Glass, a beloved board member and integral part of Women’s Camp. Kookie passed away on Friday, May 15, surrounded by family and friends. Kookie’s laughter and singing will remain with us always. Her encyclopedic knowledge of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides, artistic talent, musical exuberance, masterful auctioneering skills, quick wit, friendship-knot expertise, organizational leadership, and legendary card-shark abilities leave us with wonderful memories and lasting lessons that we will carry in our hearts and minds forever.

We hear you always, Kookie:

“There was music in my mother’s house.
There was music all around.
There was music in my mother’s house.
And my heart’s still full with the sound.”

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Calling hours will be held at Pillsbury Funeral Home, 163 Main St, Spencer, from 4-7 PM on May 22. The funeral will be held on Saturday, May 23, at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be private for the family in Pine Grove Cemetery in Spencer.
