ANOTHER FEATURED SILENT AUCTION ITEM BEING OFFERED AT THE FOWL BOOK SALE THIS WEEK!

Place your bid on this Original Production Cel and Clean-up Drawing from the episode “The Return of Jafar” of the Walt Disney Television animated series “Disney’s Aladdin The Series” (1994-95). The image captures a tender moment between Aladdin and Jasmine. The silver Walt Disney Television Animation Art seal appears on both images. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity on the back.

🖊📖 Georgetown County Library (GCL) has officially appointed accomplished writer & educator Hastings Hensel as its second Poet Laureate. His two-year term will run from June 2026, until June 2028. Hensel earned his M.F.A. from Johns Hopkins University & teaches at Coastal Carolina University. He the author of three poetry collections & coedited the new *Winyah Bay Watershed: A Literary Field Guide*: https://winyahfieldguide.com/
🖊📖The position of GCL Poet Laureate was created in 2025 in order to enhance GCL’s literature & literacy outreach as well as to inspire a deeper knowledge & appreciation of poetry in Georgetown County.
🖊📖Hensel takes over as GCL Poet Laureate from Marlanda Dekine, a Plantersville native who earned her M.F.A. from Converse University & is the author of *Thresh & Hold*. After successfully completing her term as GCL Poet Laureate, Dekine will continue her creative writing while attending Union Theological Seminary in New York City as a James H. Cone Scholar.

The Historical Atlas of the Rice Plantations of Georgetown County and the Santee River is up for Auction! This is a REAL Keeper!

It is the definitive cartographic and historical resource for South Carolina's Lowcountry. Published by the South Carolina Department of Archives and History, it meticulously documents the region's antebellum plantation landscape.
