WE are a little late getting our collection boxes out this year, but we will be letting you know where they are in a few days.
Last year we gave away 1,881 coats and snowpants last winter thanks to your generosity, and we hope to do that again this season.
We are now accepting donations of

❄Boots
❄For adults and kids
❄We always need more men's gloves, coats and boots too!

We are committed to serving our community as well as we can. Due to recent changes in our food deliveries and staffing levels, The Porch will now be open one day each week: THURSDAYS.

We would rather offer an abundance of food to choose from on one dependable day than have limited supplies available across the two days. With our current delivery schedule, Thursday is the best day to make that possible.

A gentle reminder that The Porch is a gleaning pantry. We share food donated by local suppliers, including Hardings of Woodbridge, Panera, and other generous businesses.Therefore, The Porch is intended to provide supplemental food to support your grocery budget, food benefits, and visits to your local food pantry. We remain committed to offering this support to the best of our ability.

If you need emergency food assistance, please contact your local food pantry. You can find a pantry by calling 211 or checking the Van Buren County Resource Guide.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us continue this part of our ministry in a way that serves our community well.

October 19th we start taking donations again. Please be patient with our volunteers. Please also remember our request of only 2 large bags or boxes per donation visit so we do not become overwhelmed (unless by prior arrangement- call the office).

One update: we are DESPERATE for more sweatpants and casual pants for men please!

SO MUCH going on this week at Coffee Connections. Whatever your situation, there is an agency to help and advise you. Come as early as you can, our agencies leave at 11am, so come in time to speak to them!

⭐ We are excited to welcome Legal Aid who can help or direct you if you are needing advice with a civil, legal situation.
⭐ We have agencies that can help families from birth to seniors. These agencies come once a month- so don't wait, come and see them THIS week.
⭐ Our newest agency, Windley Works is available if you need help deciding which job opportunities fit your current skills, and so much more...
⭐ Budgeting support and financial services from Advia Credit Union.
⭐ All our regular VBC community agencies.

⭐⭐ IT IS DIAPER BANK between 9am and NOON

Opening TODAY at 10 am. We have a limited number of holiday costumes.

We expect a lot of people because we have been closed for a couple of weeks so PLEASE be kind and patient with our volunteers today.
Also a reminder- We are NOT taking donations until October 19th.

Quick update to let you know that Lydia's Closet will be re-opening with Fall and Winter items on Monday October 5th at 10am.

No coats available just yet, but they will be coming soon, we will keep you informed when.

Because we expect to be BUSY in the Closet after being closed for the switch-over of seasons, and because the cooler weather is here, we will NOT be taking donations for a few weeks. WE do value your donations though so hold on to them for now! In order to be able to cope with the expected high number of donations we will ONLY be taking two bags or bioxes per donation visit unless prior arrangement has been made.

We apologize for the inconvenience but we have had to make the decision to close today because of the heat conditions. Our air conditioning has broken down and the temperature is too high for our staff to work safely.
