A HUGE ThAnK YoU to Ed's Specialty Coffee for supporting UCS with this fundraiser.

I (Alison) do not drink coffee (I drink tea- obviously 😉 ) but I have been told it is really good!

We have partnered with United Christian services. $1 of every bag of coffee will go to them. Here is more information about the organization we are supporting.

We demonstrate the love of Jesus through care for those in need of emergency assistance and provide pathways to self- sufficiency. We are a 501c3 non-profit, run completely by volunteers. We help in the gap where other agencies cannot help, bringing help and hope to our neighbors who live in Van Buren County.

We’re making a few changes to better manage the high number of calls and requests we receive. Our new OFFICE hours begin October 5, 2026. (The Porch and Lydia's Closet hours are unchanged)

Please remember that we are an all-volunteer team. We may occasionally close* because of staff shortages, bad weather, holidays, or a fifth Wednesday in the month.

WE have Diaper Bank, on Monday SEptember 21st providing Diapers for families who are in need. Unfortunately Early On and Build Up Michigan are unable to attend this month, but we can provide contact information if you need thse services.

If you are a senior and need help and advice for care options, medicare/medicaid eligibility, advocacy or direction for other services the representative from Area Agency on Aging will be available to speak to in person. Please do attend Coffee Connections.

Our Partner Agency The Domestic Violence Coalition really need to raise more money because their funding has been drastically cut. Their work is vital for the safety of women, men and children who are living with the threat of abuse everyday. This is an agency where people facing abuse can turn to for confidential advice, support and advocacy.
On October 16th, why not go out for dinner at Panera on Main Street, instead of cooking at hoome- or eating anywhere else! Show the flyer, or use the code on the app or at the kiosk to help raise essential money for this very good cause. (Details on the flyer)
