On Saturday, we landed for the first time on a new helipad in Palermo, which Kaleb Brown built for his Eagle Scout project. It's the only permanent helipad between Augusta and Belfast. Landing zones like this can make all the difference for someone who is critically ill or injured.

Thank you, Kaleb! Amazing job. (And watch out for the rotor wash!)

Full Throttle is a weekend event for Scouts in troops, crews and ships. The camp staff provides the program leadership. Individual Scouts can attend for the day; units can camp for the weekend. Lunch is provided. Register today at www.shac.org/full-throttle.

Our October Sky-themed event is being held October 27-29, 2023, at Camp Strake. Scouts spend a half-day participating in program areas such as shooting sports, climbing, swimming, ziplining, and boating. Scouts will spend a half-day working on a merit badge. Full Throttle is a great way for Scouts to have fun, learn new skills, and earn merit badges.
