The San Jacinto College Foundation congratulates Dr. Laura Bettencourt on her appointment as Provost of the North Campus.

Dr. Bettencourt brings extensive experience in higher education leadership and a strong commitment to student success. We look forward to the impact she will make as she serves the North Campus community and helps advance opportunities for students.

The San Jacinto College Board of Trustees has approved Dr. Laura Bettencourt as provost of the San Jacinto College North Campus. Bettencourt will begin her role on June 15, 2026.

A huge thank you to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo for their continued support of San Jacinto College students! We’re proud to share that San Jac has been awarded $65,552 for 16 vocational and technical scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic year.

These scholarships will support students in programs including Nursing, Medical Imaging, Medical Lab Technology, Instrumentation Technology, and Welding. We are grateful for HLSR’s investment in student success!
