For some survivors, reaching out to The Bridge happens on one of the hardest days of their lives.

They may be leaving home with very little. They may be trying to keep their children safe. They may not know where they will sleep that night or what comes next.

What we want them to know is simple: when you reach out, someone will be here.

But keeping that promise takes consistent support.

That’s why we’re launching Every Month Matters, our new monthly giving campaign. Your monthly gift helps keep shelter, advocacy, counseling, childcare, crisis support, and other essential services available for survivors and families when they need them most.

This September, we begin with Safety.

Help us continue being a safe place to turn.

Every Gift. Every Survivor. Every Month.

Earlier this month, we hosted our annual Back to School Event, Braids & Fades, for the children in our program. It was a day filled with fresh hairstyles, fun, food, and plenty of community support to help our kids head into the new school year feeling confident and cared for.

We’re grateful to the talented hairstylists, barbers, and braiders who donated their time and skills, as well as our sponsors, community partners, volunteers, and everyone who contributed food and supplies. A special thank you to H-E-B for helping make this event possible and to H-E-Buddy for coming out to celebrate with us!

We loved seeing our community come together to make our children feel welcomed, celebrated, and ready for a new school year.

If someone opens up to you about an unhealthy or abusive relationship, they aren’t looking for someone to “fix” everything. They’re looking for someone they can trust.

Your support can help them feel less alone, remind them that they’re worthy of respect, and let them know they have someone in their corner no matter what. Even if they aren’t ready to make changes today, knowing they have a safe friend to turn to can have a lasting impact.

Swipe through for ways you can show up for a friend who may be experiencing relationship abuse. 💜

This summer, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside an incredible group of college interns at The Bridge For Kids. Their dedication, kindness, and enthusiasm have made a lasting impact on our team and the children we serve.

From lending a helping hand each day to bringing fresh ideas and positive energy, they have been an invaluable part of our summer. We are so thankful for everything they’ve done and are grateful they chose to spend their summer with us.

Thank you for all of your hard work. We appreciate each and every one of you!
