Thank you Stearns Homestead for hosting our event tonight.

And thank you Old Brook High School - Parma Campus for helping with the LEGO kits.

Stop by the farm and get your LEGO kits before they are gone. Great unique piece to celebrate a unique organization in our community.

Bring the kids to Stearns Homestead.

🐐 Visit the animals from 5:00–6:00.

🧱 Build a Stearns Homestead replica brick kit together from 6:00–7:00.

The students from Old Brook High who helped develop the kit will be there to lend a hand.

No fundraising pitch.

No requirement to buy the kit.

Just two hours to do something fun with your kid and enjoy one of Parma’s coolest places.

This is the kind of community stuff we love.

Stearns Homestead.

Parma Area Kiwanis.

Students from Old Brook High.

Local families.

Kids.

Animals.

And a couple hours spent actually doing something together.

On Thursday, October 8, Parma Area Kiwanis is hosting Bring a Kid to the Farm.

The first hour is all about exploring the farm and visiting the animals.

The second hour, parents and kids will build a Stearns Homestead replica brick kit together.

And the Old Brook High students who helped develop the kit will be there helping families put it together.

Nobody is required to buy anything.

We just want families to come out and enjoy the evening.

That’s community.

Let me make one thing really clear about this event:

We aren’t trying to trick you into coming to a fundraiser.

There’s no big sales pitch waiting for you.

There’s no requirement to buy anything.

Parma Area Kiwanis simply wants to bring some families together for an evening at Stearns Homestead.

From 5:00–6:00 PM, visit the animals.

From 6:00–7:00 PM, sit down with your kid and build a Stearns Homestead replica brick kit.

If you love the kit and want to buy one afterward, you can.

If not?

That’s completely fine.

Come spend a couple hours together.

Meet some neighbors.

Meet some of the people involved with Parma Area Kiwanis.

And maybe learn a little more about the work we do around Parma.

How cool is this?

Students from Old Brook High helped develop a brick-kit replica of Stearns Homestead.

And on October 8, your kid can come build it with you — right at the farm.

First, we’ll spend an hour visiting the animals around Stearns Homestead.

Then we’ll head inside and spend the next hour building the replica together.

The Old Brook Parma students will be there to help too.

You’ll have the option to purchase the kit at the end of the evening if you want one.

But you don’t have to.

This isn’t about selling LEGO kits.

It’s about creating a fun evening for families in Parma.

Your kid probably doesn’t need another thing.

They could probably use a couple hours with you.

That’s really the idea behind Bring a Kid to the Farm.

Come out to Stearns Homestead.

Walk around and see the animals.

Then sit down together and build a replica of the farm out of bricks.

Nothing complicated.

Nothing fancy.

Just something you can actually do together.

Parma Area Kiwanis is hosting the evening on Thursday, October 8 from 5:00–7:00 PM.

The students from Old Brook High will even be there to help families build the Stearns Homestead kit they helped develop.

The kit will be available for purchase afterward if you want one, but there is absolutely no requirement to buy anything.

Just come enjoy the evening.
