Scouts & families
had a blast at our
Family Campout.

After a delicious breakfast of eggs, sausage, hash browns, & fruit, we cleaned up & then did service to the camp by doing some maintenance to the campsite, trail, & chapel.

After a lunch of hotdogs, chips, & fruit cups, kids explored the woods and pond, catching frogs & fireflies, & spotting other animals. Kids played launching water bottle rockets, throwing frisbees, tag, etc.

For dinner, we had grilled chicken, baked potatoes, carrots, & applesauce.

We celebrated the accomplishments of our scouts by giving them the awards they had earned. Parents & grandparents were there to take pictures.

At night, we sat around the campfire, enjoyed s’mores, kids decorated themselves in glow sticks, we folded & then respectfully retired some old tattered flags, followed by a little bit of stargazing. The weather was great, everyone helped out, kids and adults alike had a good time!
