We provide ag education, youth scholarships, and work toward restoring endangered livestock breeds.

Meet Jagger, Joplin, Jett & James 🐓 🎸

We are a special variety of Belgian Bearded D’Uccle Chickens called Mille Fleur, which means a “thousand flowers” in French. Can you guess why? (Hint: look at our feather markings!) We are also like a Booted Bantam because our feathers grow over our feet like boots, but we are smaller!​ In fact, I will only get to be 26oz and the females of my breed 22oz.

Wow. Respect for farmers. I’m Stacie and I’ve been volunteering for about a year. Sometimes I do chores and feed the animals there for a couple of hours, and today was one of those days in the cold, heavy rain. By the time I left I was soaked, bleeding and covered in hay and p**p. I get to do this once or twice a week but farm owners have to do this twice a day, 365 days, rain/snow/sick/tired. The animals are depending on them to eat and drink. There is no quit. No “I don’t feel like it.” And that deserves all of our respect.

I’m currently running the Farmyard Friends Learning Center nonprofit- come volunteer with us some time and see what we’re about.
