Part of the Story 2026 was a big success for the 79 high school students who attended from across York County school districts.

They explored the theme: Building Community, Making Connections with Ben Philippe, the featured author. His debut novel, The Field Guide to the North American Teenager, was named one of ALA Best Fiction for Young Adults in 2020 and won the William C. Morris Award. Teens and teachers received free, signed copies of the book. They spent time with Ben exploring the individual's role in creating a positive community.
The day also included small group discussions, self-reflection time, and a community awareness billboard contest.
