CASA for KIDS of Paris, Texas Our Vision:
We envision a safe and positive future for all Texas children. That volunteer is called a Court Appointed Special Advocate®, or CASA.

When a child enters the foster care system because his or her home is no longer safe, a judge may appoint a committed volunteer to help them. CASA volunteers are screened and highly trained and then appointed by judges to represent and advocate for a child’s best interests in the child protection system. CASA volunteers are each assigned to help one child or set of siblings at a time, so they can

focus on giving that child or sibling group the individualized advocacy and attention they need. CASA volunteers save taxpayers money and children’s futures by helping children find safe, permanent homes as soon as possible.

Meet our Spotlight Teacher, Mistie!

"My name is Mistie, and I am a Special Education teacher at Chisum Elementary. This year, I am excited to step into a new role supporting Pre-K through 2nd grade students in Reading and Math. Building relationships with my students is important to me because it helps my students feel safe, valued, and confident in their abilities. A $250 gift card would allow me to purchase engaging learning materials, sensory supports, and hands-on resources that meet my students' unique needs and help them thrive both academically and emotionally."

CASA for KIDS of Paris, Texas is proud to announce the winners of the 2026 CASA Art Contest that was open to local high school students. The overall grand champion was Kamora Scott of Chisum High School. First place went to Gracyn Whitaker of Chisum High School. Second place winner was Teresa Zermeno of Chisum High School. Third place was secured by Yoselin Contreras of Paris High School. Thank you to all participants in the art contest and for helping us bring awareness about child abuse in our communities!

CASA for KIDS of Paris, Texas was so excited to join TXB and McCraw Oil and the Propane at the 30th Annual Doyce Taylor Memorial Fishing and Golf Tournament! ⛳ This tournament marks 18 years of TXB and McCraw Oil supporting local CASA programs, and we are SO grateful for their continued support. When you are trying to decide where to get gas, remember TXB supports local children in foster care!!!
