❤️ The Summit Has Ended. Our Work Has Not.

🪶 Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 3rd Annual United Natives Missing & Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) Awareness Summit, October 14–15 in Las Vegas!

We gathered for two meaningful days of awareness, advocacy, healing, connection, and new perspectives, united by a shared commitment to addressing the MMIR crisis.

🤝 Our Pre-Summit Networking Mixer brought advocates and leaders together to exchange resources, share data, build relationships, and strengthen collaboration ahead of the Summit.

🎤 Our CEU-certified Summit welcomed Tribal leadership, nonprofit leaders, policymakers, public safety professionals, gaming and hospitality representatives, and community advocates from across the country.

❤️ A heartfelt thank you to our incredible panelists, many of whom traveled from across the nation to share their expertise, experiences, and perspectives. Your voices brought depth, compassion, and meaningful dialogue to these important conversations.

🌟 We were honored to welcome Ashley Callingbull as our keynote speaker. Her heartfelt and powerful message reminded us why our voices, stories, and collective advocacy matter.

We are honored to welcome JEN MURPHY to United Natives’ 3rd Annual Missing & Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) Awareness Summit!

An enrolled member of the Chippewa Cree Tribes of Rocky Boy, Montana, Jen is an Indigenous photographer, filmmaker, and passionate MMIP advocate using visual storytelling to bring awareness to issues that must be seen, heard, and addressed.

🎬 As Executive Producer of the award-winning short film Not Afraid, Jen shines a light on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People in Montana. The film received the Indigenous Film and Culture Award from the Windrider Film Showcase, held in conjunction with Sundance Film Festival.

📸 Through Tveraa Photography Jen Murphy (former Buckley) , Jen believes images can spark difficult conversations, challenge silence, and inspire change. She is also a chaplain, mother of three daughters, and dedicated advocate. Learn more at www.mmiwproject.org.

🎓❤️ OUR 3RD ANNUAL MMIR SUMMIT IS CEU CERTIFIED!

Social workers, advocates, mental health professionals, and community members — join us for a day of learning, connection, and action at the 3rd Annual United Natives MMIR Summit, offering 6.0 CEU hours through the Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers (BESW) in ethics, su***de prevention, and cultural competency.

🌟 Out-of-state social workers: You may submit your certificate of completion to your own state licensing board for review and approval. Please check with your board regarding acceptance and requirements.

🧡 Why does this work matter?

Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) is not just an issue affecting one person or one family. The impacts ripple through children, parents, loved ones, and entire communities — across years and generations. These losses carry profound mental health and public health consequences that deserve recognition, culturally responsive support, and meaningful action.
