LZ HONOR – A monthly “Honor Roll Call” of those Nebraskans that have paid the ultimate price while serving in Vietnam. The Honorees included in this post are those that were lost during any of the months of November for the duration of U.S. involvement in Vietnam. We will never forget.
The list is in order by the day of the month the service members were lost.

As the year comes to a close, help keep the stories and sacrifices of Nebraska’s Vietnam veterans alive.

A year-end gift to the Nebraska Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation honors those who served, remembers those we lost, and helps future generations understand their legacy. Please consider making a gift today—and sharing this post to invite others to give. Every act of remembrance matters.

LOOKING FOR THAT PERFECT GIFT FOR YOUR VETERAN FOR VETERANS DAY?
Honor a veteran with a lasting tribute. Our final Memorial Tile installation of the year will take place a few days before Veterans Day. If you’ve been considering a tile to recognize your veteran's service and sacrifice, now is a great time to order and show your veteran his Memorial Tile on Veterans Day.
Whether it’s a simple name, a cherished photo, or a QR code linking to a veteran’s full life story, each tile becomes a permanent tribute to courage, sacrifice, and service.
These beautiful tiles are available for ALL servicemembers, regardless of when or where they served; whether they experienced combat or not, from the Revolutionary War to current day conflicts, ALL servicemembers are eligible, living or deceased and from ANY state (doesn't have to be Nebraskan).
If you’d like to honor a loved one—or sponsor a tile for a veteran who has no family left to do so—you can do that today.
Your tribute becomes part of Nebraska’s legacy of remembrance.

17 September - It was a great honor to welcome the USS New Jersey (the nation's most decorated Battleship) Reunion group this past month! Most members were not from Nebraska, so it was a pleasure to acquaint them with the Nebraska Vietnam Veterans Memorial and its mission to "Remember the Past and Educate the Future"! We hope to see them all again soon!
