Suddenly, whatever I was about to complain about doesn’t seem so bad. 😂 Lord, I’m grateful! I’m grateful! I’M GRATEFUL! 

Because 40 YEARS?! That’s a whole lot of wandering, and I’m just trying to make it through this season without taking the scenic route! 

Sometimes we get so caught up in what’s going wrong that we forget how much God has already brought us through. A little perspective can turn a whole lot of complaining into a whole lot of praising! 🤍

Lord, forgive my attitude, remind me of Your goodness, and help me keep a grateful heart even when things don’t go my way!

Somewhere along the way, many of us started believing that having strong faith meant we shouldn't struggle. That if we prayed enough, trusted enough, or believed enough, the anxiety would disappear, the sadness would lift, and the exhaustion would fade.

But even Elijah reached a point where he was overwhelmed and exhausted; Yet God met him with compassion, nourishment, and rest 🤍

Your struggles are not proof that you're failing God!

You are allowed to need support. You're allowed to rest. You're allowed to seek counseling, medical care and community while continuing to trust Him.

Joy doesn’t always come naturally, it’s something we practice ✨

We can rehearse every worst-case scenario, or we can train our minds to return to what is true, lovely, praiseworthy and good. God is renewing the way we think so we can show up differently, with more hope, more gratitude and more joy!!

“Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.” - Psalm 144:15 🤍

We all deserve people who make us feel seen, valued, and loved without having to earn our place.

There’s something so special about being around people who make you feel safe enough to just be YOU. 🦋
No pressure to fit in. No fear of being judged. No feeling like you have to hide parts of yourself to be accepted.

And sometimes, finding those people is where healing begins. 🤍

Search me, God, and know my heart 🤍

This is a brave prayer because we aren’t asking God to simply affirm what we already see. Sometimes we need God to show us what we can’t see on our own. What needs to be released, repented of, healed, or surrendered?

And I love that Psalm 139 doesn’t end with God just pointing things out. It ends with, “lead me in the everlasting way.”

Save this for your next quiet time.
