Most people drive past it without realizing how much of Fort Worth once moved through these walls. The Texas & Pacific Warehouse was completed in 1931 as a massive eight story reinforced concrete freight building for the Texas & Pacific Railway, stretching more than 600 feet along Lancaster Avenue. Built for large scale storage and distribution at the height of the rail era, it helped power the city’s growth. While the nearby T&P Station has been converted into apartments, the warehouse remains empty today, still listed on the National Register of Historic Places and still quietly holding its place in the skyline.
