Two more sections of The Beach mulched tonight after the first section held up well to the Tuesday night riding crowd. Why did we do this, you may ask?

There were some sections that were getting so deep that unless you have super fat tires or really mad skills, riders were having so much difficulty that they were creating new lines and widening the trail. If that kept up, we'd go beyond a beach to having dunes.

There's still plenty of sandy spots, though, to keep it interesting.

We had some riders come through while we were finishing and they gave it rave reviews! 🌟👍

⛱ 👷There's been a revision on The Beach! We are running a test on one of the sandiest sections and have mixed the sand with mulch. It took 11 trips to the mulch pile provided by the DNR and lots of mixing and packing, but this test section is complete. Give it a ride and let us know what you think! We'll see how it stands up to more riding as well as rains and will adjust as needed.

The Beach has been a section of much frustration over the years with riders asking "who trucked in more sand?!", but we also know some of you like a challenge, so we are working to strike a balance to allow everyone a fun and satisfying ride and ensure everyone wants to keep coming back!

We are saddened to share that one of our Founding Members, and the founder of Ellie Thompson & Co. has passed away.

We are honored by her immemorial support and will continue to pursue our mission that she truly supported.

Without advocates like Ellie,SKORR could not exist as it does today. Ellie was one of our first members and one of our first founding members. Our thoughts are with her loved ones as they navigate this difficult time.

🚧 🚨 Hwy H Construction continues...

There will be a daily hard closure from 7am to 7pm between John Muir and Bluff Road. Only emergency personnel will be able to pass. Trails will need to be accessed from the south for the next several weeks. It is unknown at this time if road crews will be working during the weekends.

‼️🚧 There is a hard closure on Hwy H today. You will need to access the John Muir trailhead from the south. The road is currently not passible between John Muir and Bluff Rd.
